Bad weather rescue plan
When Michigan weather doesn't permit a safe meetup, we will meet online at the same time as the planned event, prepared to put our rescue kits to use! Prioritizing time for ourselves, laughs, and great conversation will remain the highlight of the day.

Membership Details
We offer a single membership plan designed to provide maximum value and flexibility. For just $60 per quarter (equivalent to $20 per month), you'll gain access to all our book club meetings, exclusive events, and a vibrant community.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there dues? Yes. A charge of $60 will be due every (3) months. These fees will cover monthly meetups, venues, refreshments, supplies, planning and other expenses. Many times this will include fun extras for our members (we love to see you smile), When meeting at restaurants we may pay for the private space but in most cases members will pay for their own items from the menu. Member fees are due by the 15th of each quarter, Please request a payment arrangement if needed.
So essentially the fee is $20 per event? ...Yes and no. To break down the cost, it would equal twenty per month, that is correct. However, the dues are not meant to "cover" each event. Dues are to assist with planning, organizing, scouting out and affording to bring great experiences to our members in general. It's not a monthly fee. Member dues would be required whether or not a current member planned to attend all available meetups. It's an investment to the community, to help it continue to grow strong and provide what it is intended to for our members. That is the reason why dues are quarterly rather than monthly. If we charged dues monthly members may feel that we are charging for each event. We are not. It is simply a fee to cover your membership with BCWAT. Membership dues are non refundable
Do I have to love reading books to join? Not at all! We understand that after a busy day, you may just enjoy hearing the stories of the lives we read about! Even without completing the entire read, you may still have opinions and viewpoints on things that others are discussing about the story. Plots, Twists, Surprises and more await every discussion and you are welcome to share your thoughts. Most ladies get so invested after hearing the stories, they often want to run home to catch up for themselves.
What is expected from members? We expect respectful interaction, and a willingness to become a valuable part of our community. That means doing your part in ensuring things run as smoothly as possible. Members are expected to read emails and text messages, RSVP for events, pay member dues on time (15th of each quarter, every 3 months) or request payment options. We want to hear your ideas, your thoughts and your preferences. Afterall, this club is for you!
